Blimey, well that was quite an interesting match to watch! The club was virtually at a standstill in that final set and although I’ve never really been convinced by the Scot but i think he did us proud today.
Andy was quoted saying “I don’t feel like I’ve let myself down today.” and i think we have to acknowledge now that he has the potential to win a Grand Slam and topple the tennis greats of today. Slightly annoyed by people saying negative things about his performance though, the French all get behind Tsonga and Del Potro is adored in Argentina. I’m starting to feel as if the Scot might be our boy and i’m hopefully that in the future, especially under the new direction of his coach and a little more enthusiasm from us, he’ll get us that victory every British person has been waiting such a long time for.
